- The Bund / People’s Square — iconic riverfront views, great for first-timers, short taxi to nightlife.

What “gay-friendly” means here
China has no anti-discrimination law covering hotels, but in practice international chains and most modern city hotels are entirely used to same-sex couples sharing a room. You won’t normally be questioned. Booking a room with one large bed is unremarkable.
