If Hong Kong's gay scene has a flagship, it's FLM on Jervois Street in Sheung Wan — the heart of the city's gayborhood. It spreads over two levels: the biggest dance floor of the local bars downstairs, and a quieter bar upstairs where you can actually hold a conversation.
The programming is the draw — themed nights, RuPaul's Drag Race parties, live drag, plus karaoke, bingo and trivia — pulling a genuinely mixed crowd of locals, expats and visitors, young and old. Happy hour is two-for-one from 7pm to 9pm, Monday to Saturday; at the weekend it fills up after 10pm.
