Beijing's legendary gay megaclub on Gongti West Road — open since 2004, multi-floor, often called Asia's biggest gay venue. Pole shows, big DJs, packed weekends.
If you only do one gay night in Beijing, make it Des. Open since 2004 and still the beating heart of the local scene, it sprawls across multiple floors built loosely around an 'airport' idea — different rooms are like boarding gates serving different moods, from a thumping main dance floor with pole and go-go shows to quieter lounge corners with sofas, plus rotating art exhibitions upstairs. Entry is usually around ~¥100 and includes a drink (July 2026); doors open about 9pm and it really fills up Friday and Saturday, when it can run until 5am (quieter, earlier closes midweek, and it tends to take Mondays off).
The crowd is overwhelmingly young local men with a friendly sprinkling of expats and visitors, and the place doubles as a genuine community hub — it has long partnered with the Chaoyang district CDC to offer free, anonymous HIV testing. Honest caveats from regulars and reviewers: the cocktails are weak, the many small divided rooms can make it hard to actually meet people, and you should keep an eye on your belongings on a busy night. Reassuringly, it sits on Gongti West Road and survived the big Workers' Stadium demolition and rebuild nearby, so it's still going strong.
