Research Positions:

We are seeking several research fellows and associate researchers with expertise in various areas of Chinese culture, including but not limited to:
Chinese Film and Television Studies: Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the history, evolution, and aesthetic characteristics of Chinese cinema and television. Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods is essential. A PhD in Film Studies, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
Chinese Literature and Classics: We are seeking researchers with expertise in classical Chinese literature, modern Chinese literature, or comparative literature. Strong analytical skills and the ability to engage in interdisciplinary research are highly valued. A PhD in Chinese Literature, Comparative Literature, or a related field is required.
Chinese Art History and Archaeology: Candidates with expertise in specific periods or styles of Chinese art, as well as experience in museum curation or archival research, are particularly encouraged to apply. A PhD in Art History, Archaeology, or a related field is required.
Chinese Traditional Medicine and Philosophy: Researchers with expertise in traditional Chinese medicine, its philosophical underpinnings, and its contemporary applications are highly sought after. A PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Philosophy, or a related field is preferred.
Digital Humanities and Chinese Culture: We are looking for individuals with expertise in applying digital technologies to research and dissemination of Chinese cultural heritage. Experience in digital archiving, data analysis, and web development is highly advantageous.

Research positions involve conducting independent research, publishing scholarly articles, presenting research findings at conferences, and contributing to the Institute's publications. Successful candidates will be expected to collaborate effectively with colleagues and actively participate in the Institute's research initiatives.

Education and Outreach Positions:

We are also seeking individuals with a passion for education and public engagement to contribute to our outreach programs. These roles include:
Curriculum Development Specialist: This role involves designing and developing educational materials related to Chinese culture for diverse audiences, ranging from primary school students to university undergraduates. Experience in curriculum design, educational technology, and culturally sensitive pedagogy is required.
Public Engagement Officer: This role focuses on organizing and implementing public events, workshops, and exhibitions to promote Chinese culture and foster cross-cultural understanding. Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience in event management are essential.
International Collaboration Manager: This role involves coordinating and managing collaborations with international partners, including universities, museums, and cultural organizations. Fluency in at least one foreign language, besides English and Mandarin, is required. Experience in international project management is highly advantageous.

These positions require strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
