I spent hours wandering through its courtyards, imagining the emperors and empresses who once walked these very paths. A visit to Tiananmen Square, the world's largest public square, is equally impactful, a place where history has unfolded, both glorious and tragic.

From the grandeur of Beijing, I journeyed to Xi'an, the ancient capital renowned for its Terracotta Army. Standing before these life-sized warriors, frozen in time for over two millennia, was an unforgettable experience. The sheer scale of the project, the meticulous craftsmanship, and the silent stories these figures whisper across the ages are profoundly moving. Exploring the ancient city walls, cycling along their top and taking in the panoramic views of the city, was another highlight of my Xi'an experience. The tranquility of the Li River contrasted sharply with the bustling energy of Yangshuo, a charming town brimming with artists, backpackers, and a relaxed atmosphere. I spent several days exploring the surrounding countryside, hiking through lush green hills, cycling along picturesque paths, and exploring hidden caves.
