We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

I. Curatorial Staff

Curator of Classical Literature (multiple positions): We seek experienced curators with deep knowledge of classical Chinese literature, including the pre-Qin classics, Tang poetry, Song Ci, and Ming and Qing novels. Responsibilities include cataloging, preserving, and researching our collection of classical texts, conducting scholarly research, contributing to exhibitions, and participating in public programs. Candidates should possess a PhD in Chinese Literature or a related field, along with proven experience in curatorial work. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is essential. Experience with digital archiving and preservation technologies is highly desirable.

Curator of Art and Calligraphy: We are looking for a skilled curator with expertise in Chinese art and calligraphy, encompassing various styles and periods. Responsibilities will include managing and researching our significant collection of paintings, calligraphy scrolls, and other artworks, organizing exhibitions, preparing accompanying publications, and collaborating with scholars and researchers. A PhD in Art History (with a focus on Chinese art) is required, along with extensive experience in museum curation. Excellent communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English are vital.

Curator of Rare Books and Manuscripts: This position requires a specialist with expertise in the preservation and study of rare books and manuscripts. Responsibilities involve the careful handling and cataloging of fragile materials, conducting research on their historical context and significance, and applying appropriate conservation techniques. A master’s degree in library science, archival science, or a related field is required, along with experience in handling rare books and manuscripts. Knowledge of traditional Chinese bookbinding techniques is a strong advantage. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is necessary.

II. Research and Academic Staff

Research Fellow in Chinese History: We seek a highly motivated research fellow with a strong background in Chinese history. The successful candidate will conduct independent research, contribute to publications and academic conferences, and participate in collaborative research projects. A PhD in History (with a focus on Chinese history) is required, along with a strong publication record. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is crucial. III. Librarian and Archives Staff

Digital Archivist: We seek a skilled digital archivist to manage our growing digital collection. A master’s degree in library science, archival science, or a related field is required, along with proven experience in digital archiving and preservation.
